Please pass this on.
Now Victoria is coming under the VLAD gun...
The Victorian Attorney General in parliament at the first reading of the bill...
"The bill will also enable police to obtain orders imposing a range of restrictions on an organisation without needing to prove criminal activity beyond reasonable doubt. Proof on the balance of probabilities will be sufficient."
Without any need for further evidence!
Does the move by Victoria's Attorney General, Robert Clark MP mean motorcycle clubs and organisations will have to do ID/background checks before accepting a membership? Perhaps fill out a Qld Police type bikie form?
What is the definition of a "criminal" organisation?
Is there a time limit to changing clubs?
What if riders left a banned club 5 years ago?
What mechanism will there be to have a club unlisted once it is put on the "criminal" list?
Will this mean a costly court hearing or tribunal appearance?
How long will that take?
What happened to innocent till proved guilty?
Without further evidence!
